Great Coach gift choices at Walmart Photo Centre site.

I have to confess that when it comes to thinking of teacher or coach gifts, I usually struggle to find something practical, affordable and meaningful. I’m loving the options out there lately for using photos to make amazing gifts that teacher and coaches will for sure LOVE. This time, I explored the Walmart Photo Centre site for ideas and found EXACTLY what I was looking for…a stainless steel travel mug personalized with the team photo for the Blue Lightening. I’m so excited for my daughter to be able to give it to her soccer coach at the end of the season party. I have to say it’s tempting to get on for my daughter and her best friend too for the tea they both have been drinking lately in celebration of a great season. Maybe I’ll think about it for a Christmas gift…

Veteran’s Day and My Great Uncle Fred

I have been wanting to make something with the photos I have of my great uncle for ages. He died at 18 in WWI. I have always felt connected to the Foley family whose history is really cool. My middle name is Foley and I passed that on to my son too. Look what I made to hang in my house today!

I’m keeping with my promise to myself to make a digital scrapbook page every month for as long as I can to put a cool album together for my kids later. Here is this months page which I made at the Sam’s Club site and OMG is all I can say. There are so many beautiful page designs it was hard to choose which one to use. This will make it fun for next month!

Ok…so I know I promised not to be totally focused on the new puppy, but the kids are in it too :)

Playing catch up with my son’s photos

I hoping I’m not alone in feeling like a bad mom about this… My youngest has been so bummed that there isn’t a photo album dedicated to his baby pictures and he’s right! When my oldest was a baby, I wasn’t totally digital yet and had a plethora of photos in a box that my mom took and made a great big thick photo album out of. So now when we are going through the albums,,, my son is like, “where am I?” SO….I am going to make him something special, maybe a “this is your life” photo album and I’m starting by uploading pics to the Costco online photo site. Here is a video of how to do that. It can get confusing because there are a couple of ways to upload your photos so I thought I would demonstrate how easy it is to take some of the mystery away. :)
