Sweet photo gifts for Father’s Day or Dad’s Birthday

IMG_0005.JPG
It’s a show and tell day with some cool photo gifts I made with photos of the kids for their Dad for Father’s Day and his birthday. I made a dopp kit at the Costco Photo Center using of a fantastic photo I took of the kids. Then I made a photo tie at Sam’s Club Photo Center with a fun, crazy dress up photo I took of the kids when they were goofing off. Check out the video (note my kids being silly in the background)…

Oh, and the foam photo puzzle I referred to is from Walmart Photo Centre…came out so cool!

Stamps with my photo on them!

Awesome coolness is all I can say. I just went to Costco.com to make some stamps with a photo of my puppy on them. It was WAY faster than I expected. You’ll see on the video how surprised I was about the speed of the uploader…amazing! I, of course, chose a photo of my cockapoo puppy (shown below). A sheet of 20 stamp was $16.95, with 20% off so not bad for photo stamps. I’m thinking I’ll be making ones with a photo of my kids on them next. How great will these be for my Christmas cards?

It’s a quick video because they were so quick to make…

Remembering past pets through photo ~ part 2

I know I said I was planning to make my memory book of my pets on the Costco Photo Center site, but after I uploaded my photos there, I remembered that I would have to download My Publisher in order to make a photobook from Costco. As I am on a loaner computer while mine is getting fixed, I thought I would make my Reilly book at the Sams Club photo site and post again with my experiences making a Buoy book from Costco and My Publisher. So here’s how I made my memory book of Reilly at Sam’s Club

My favs from CES

I just got back from CES 2010 and what an amazing show it was. Unfortunately, I spent more time in meetings than exploring the show floor but there were a few products that caught my eye. Here’s a glimpse of those…

The Polaroid Instant Mobile Printer is available at Costco and the Polaroid site for $49.99 and the Instant Digital Camera is at the Polaroid site for $199. I’m coveting the Polaroid Pogo Instant Digital Camera right now and my birthday is less than a month away (hint, hint) :)

The Sony Bloggie is another great birthday present for me. So cool. I’d go for the Bloggie Camera Kit for $189.99. It comes with the 360 video attachment and a 4GB memory stick.  Check out the fun colors (I personally like it in eggplant).  Here’s a review with video footage of the Sony Bloggie.

Here are the Etymotic earphones that are my new favorite. The stay in my ears comfortably and block out other noise. I can’t wait to head out for a trail run with these!

You can get an Eye-Fi card at Costco for $59.95…the best deal I’ve found so far. Here’s the link to my review of the Eye-Fi card.

Some shameless self promotion… Here are some video interviews (one including me) from Pixalated Geek at the It Won’t Stay In Vegas party at the Atomic Testing Museum put on by the Parnassus Group and Scoble. Awesome sponsors like Blackberry, Clear, PlayStation, and many others

There are countless other great posts and videos from CES 2010… If you are interested, I’d start here with Robert Scoble’s post.

I didn’t take nearly the pictures that I meant to take, but here are a few below.

Trees make me happy

treeposterup11

Remember my post from a couple of weeks ago about the poster I made at the kiosk at Costco? If you missed it, here’s the link to it. Well, for Christmas my mom had it matted and framed for me. I couldn’t wait to take it home and hang it over the piano. It will offer me constant inspiration and happiness. I LOVE trees. I also took the photo while on a relaxing hike with my mom on the Rattlesnake Ridge trail. Great memories as well as the peace and contentment trees provide for me :)
