I’m keeping with my promise to myself to make a digital scrapbook page every month for as long as I can to put a cool album together for my kids later. Here is this months page which I made at the Sam’s Club site and OMG is all I can say. There are so many beautiful page designs it was hard to choose which one to use. This will make it fun for next month!

Ok…so I know I promised not to be totally focused on the new puppy, but the kids are in it too :)

My puzzle arrived from Sam’s Club and I just had to show it to you. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first and was NOT expecting the quality of the puzzle to be this good! The pieces are strong and glossy and the tin is fantastic. Check it out here…

How much do you love your puppy?

Enough to make a puzzle of him or her? If you know me, you know that I can’t stop talking about our new puppy that we are getting in a WEEK! The kids have calendars in their rooms and we’ve been counting down the days until our sweet little cockapoo Gus arrives. I went to the Sam’s Club photo site and checked out all of the cool options they have for photo gifts. So many to choose from! I thought it would be fun to make a puzzle and tin of a baby picture that we were sent the other day from Donna at Echo Valley Ranch of our new addition to the family. HOW STINKING CUTE IS HE! Check out my video and meet Milo, our puppy’s half brother…

Seriously…the photo puzzle with the tin is only $13.96. I may have to make 2 so they don’t fight over it!

in Reviews/giveaways

I’m having so much fun with these cool bloggers setting up reviews and giveaways. I said last year at BlogWorld Expo that I’ve never met a nicer, more outgoing, friendly group of people and I continue to meet more peeps that I would love to hang out with in person!

Here are some more great opportunities to get a head start on holiday gifts (or b’day or anniversary or anything really)…

FrugalPlus Here’s one from Jill at Frugal Plus that expires tomorrow so get over there to win a collage poster from Costco, a photo book from CVS or a velvet photo book from Sam’s Club. Jill made some really cool products and turned a photo book into a personalized recipe book!

TwentySomethingMomma Here’s another fabulous review and opportunity to win a a CVS photo book, a Sam’s Club personalized calendar, or a Sam’s Club photo collage from Ruminations of a TwentySomethingMomma. Wait until you see what she created of her little cutie patooties! Her giveaway is going right now and expires on October 1.

gumdropbutton-125x125 I love this site! Kristen at Goodie Goodie Gumdrops made an awesome CVS photo book of her sweet baby boy commemorating his first year. She did a great review of the process of making one and is offering a free photo book from CVS to a lucky winner. Get over to her site by October 3 to enter!

More to fun reviews and giveaways to come for all sorts of great photo projects over the next month. Can’t wait to see more of what these creative peeps can make!

The beauty of a gift is watching it given

My photo calendar came today for my daughter. Watch me giving it to her :) (Note: after she said on video that she didn’t want to be on the internet, she asked me to post the video and she’s seen it and gave permission)

I’m so excited for her and my son. His arrived last week! Now they’ll know on their own when they have days off, special dates and other activities.

Personalized recipe book for the aspiring chef

My 10 year old daughter all of the sudden has taken an interest in cooking. So much so that she opened a backyard “restaurant” this summer, complete with carefully designed menus, fancy tables and an order window. She and her friend even wandered the neighborhood with tickets to hand out to perspective diners.

So when a blogger friend asked me if I would make a video “how-to” of the recipe book option from
Sam’s Club I had an idea. I pulled out an book my mom had put together for me of passed down recipes and decided to make a personalized recipe book for my daughter complete with photos of her. Check it out…

It was super fun and easy to make. I hope they consider more choices of designs in the future but the one there is really cool

Cool personal calendar for the kids.

I’m finally getting to creating a custom calendar for my kids on the Sam’s Club photo center site. I started with my sons as you can see here…

I love the personalizing I could do, not just with photos but with text too! I added test throughout the year for birthdays, school vacations, school events, etc. It’s going to be awesome to have the kids be able to track things they want to remember!

Here’s a quick glimpse of the text adding feature…

Photo calendar idea for kids “back to school” organization

I thought this would be fun and cool for my kids especially since they are going back and forth between my house and their dad’s. They can track their soccer practice/game schedules, any school projects due too and when their breaks are, etc. Plus, look at cool pics each month! I’m having some fun on the Sam’s Club Photo site this week!
